Open Days

Open and Study Days

St Peter's will be participating in the University Open days in 2019. The 2019 Open Days will take place on on Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 July 2019, and on Friday 20 September.

The college will be open to drop-in visitors between 9am and 5pm, and there will be plenty of opportunity to meet with current students, who will also be leading tours of the college. Stop by St Peter's to listen to live music (performed by our current students), while you enjoy some light refreshments that will be available throughout the day.

All visitors are welcome to drop-in to any of the events taking place on the day. Some of our events (personal statement workshops, demonstration interviews) are, however, very popular.

For those who are unable to attend an open day, visits at other times can be arranged. Potential applicants with specific questions are also welcome to contact the Tutor for Admissions by email.

A full list of events for the Open Day on 20 September 2019 can be found in the drop down section below.

Our Open Day is a relaxed and informal event, so please feel free to wander around the college at leisure of or join any of the activities listed below:

Tours of the College

Students will be running tours of the college throughout the day. These will depart from the lodge (the main reception) every 15 minutes, i.e. on the hour, 15 minutes past the hour, 30 minutes past the hour and 45 minutes past the hour.

Tours will include: A student bedroom, Chapel, Dining Hall, Bar and JCR. The tour will take roughly 20-25 minutes. Please feel free to ask student helpers any questions that you have about the course or the college.

Subject Tutor Meetings

College Tutors will be around to meet with prospective students during the afternoon (generally between the hours of 13.00-17.00). A full list of tutors who are available can be downloaded here.

Demonstration Interview

The college will run a number of demonstration interviews involving a Tutor and a current undergraduate student. This September the subject covered will be History. Even if this is not your chosen subject, the content will be useful nonetheless. Please see the timetable below for time and location.

The demonstration interview will give you an idea of the types of question that may be asked in interview. There will be an opportunity for Q&A at the end of each demonstration interview.

Meet the Tutor for Admissions

Dr Robert Pitkethly will be available between 9am and 5pm in the Latner Room. This is your chance to ask any questions you might have about the admissions process. There will also be coffee, tea and cake available in the Latner – please help yourself!
